Transportation of the Striker I Heavy

Slide in/out as the Striker™-I-Heavy fits inside the chinook CH-47 cargo compartment. No assembly required operation.

Variable Drop Pattern

Only the Striker™-I-Heavy and Striker™ I can be upgraded to a Variable Drop Pattern option to allow the operator to choose a different Foam ground drop pattern like width, length, and coverage level (gallon per 100 sqft-gpc) without changing the helicopter flight parameters like airspeed or attitude.

The Variable Drop Pattern High Expansion Foam ranges:

  • Wide or narrow drop pattern 20 to 60 feet
  • Short or long drop pattern e.g., 2,100 ft to 4,100 ft (vary based on tank size)
  • High coverage level of 83 gpc to low coverage level of 23 gpc of foam

Foam Concentrate Type

The Striker Foam Concentrate tank can be filled with any Class A foam concentrate on the USFD Qualified Product List (QPL).

Class A foam has been thoroughly vetted by the world recognized wildland fire and environmental research experts to be safe for humans, animals, and the environment when used according to instructions.

Water & Foam Concentrate Tank Filling

Water tank can be filled manually on ground thought he water inlet or on between flight operation using the Snorkel hover pump .

(1) Assembly weight:

Varies based on the options and features added.

(2) Depends on each flight mission and scenario:

The final water capacity can vary. Pilot must account for many factors including the maximum aircraft take-off weight, fuel weight, crew weight, flight path, weather, altitude, number of missions and adding a safety margin. Pre flight, the Striker maximum water capacity limit can be adjusted to ensure that the snorkel refill pump and water tank will not be filled more than the set limits.

(3) Standard Options:

  • Disperse high expansion foam ratio of 20:1
  • Emergency water drop in 2-4 seconds
  • Foam concentrate tank and injector
  • Hover snorkel refill pump
  • Ground refill outlet
  • Basic cockpit controller
  • Manual water tank fill Level adjustment
